Lamps and Lighting_Furniture

The most striking for me is the "MOAI floor light" featuring a unique shape that combines lamp and sculpture. MOAI was created by a young Turkish designer named Defne Koz. The other lighting examples feature wonderful hanging lights that stir the imagination. Here is a submission of lamps and lighting by Leucos. These pieces just debuted at the Milan Furniture Fair. Source: Leucos. For more Milan Furniture Fair stories check out: Milan Fair 1 and Milan Fair 2

Furniture_Lamp_Mir Round Hanging Light

The craftsmanship of the crystal balls is impeccable making for a wonderful light experience as it is projected through the transparent crystal. "Mir" is a round hanging light available in many sizes from MASSIERO Per Amor Di Stile of Italy. Mir comes in two options with chrome plated metal or a blown glass sphere. The detail that catches my attention is the transparent crystal balls underneath the sphere. Price: $2,073. More information: here.

Lamps and Lighting by dform

Lamps and Lighting. The dform collection features hanging lights, wall lamps and sconces, and screens. Here are a few outstanding lamps and lighting items from dform which continues their "ongoing exploration of cutting flat sheet materials into dynamic three dimensional forms". This ornate yet modern lighting collection is all hand assembled and is made of interlocking die-cut wood veneer or plastic with layered surfaces of pattern and shadow. see the rest of the dform lighting and screen collections here.

Modern Chandelier Kapp_Furniture

I readily see the fit in commercial lighting projects and sit this morning thinking about how to work it into a residential setting. I know the idea is out there, I am just another cup of coffee away from it. Kapp is available in a clear or red crystal hand-blown glass. I have really been taken in by Kapp, a modern chandelier from Studio Italian Design. The glass pattern is striking and sure to draw the attention of any person that passes by. You can find out more on this modern chandelier at their website here.

Tris Contemporary Chandelier with Simple Elegance

The "Tris" contemporary chandelier makes this happen in its basic design. Some times in decorating simple is better in particular when it can be joined with elegance. It features a shape with three reaching outward prongs. Tris' geometry captures enough of my attention while not creating too abstract a shape for decorators seeking a more defined chandelier pattern. It is made of milky white blown glass. It also is available as a ceiling or wall fixture if you wish to mount it directly onto a wall surface. More information: here.

Modular Pendant Lighting

Designer Pete Sans comprised this cool modern pendant lighting system from five different shapes that can be used in as little as two pieces. Produced by Vibia in Barcelona, Spain. Modular and lighting are usually two concepts that don't go together, what you see is what you get. The "Ameba" on the other hand features an organic winding series of shapes that allow you to be the architect with endless possibilities that adapt to your living space and requirements.
